This project is inspired by Pedro Almodóvar’s The Skin I Live In and explores the intense societal pressures that compel individuals to alter their appearance in order to be accepted. It examines the dark and often dangerous practices people undergo to achieve the beauty standards imposed by society, highlighting the tension between personal identity and social expectation. Through this work, I aim to provoke reflection on the cost of conformity and the impact of societal ideals on self-perception.
